Prayer for a Child’s Obedience to Parents

Turn your child over to God in prayer.

Dear God, May _____ obey his/her father’s commands, and not neglect his/her mother’s instruction.

May _____ keep our words always in his/her heart, and tie them around his/her neck.

When he/she walks, let our counsel guide him/her; when he/she sleeps, may our words protect him/her; when he/she wakes up, may our words advise him/her.

May _____ see our commands as a lamp, our instruction as a light, and our corrective
discipline as a way to life.  ~Amen (Proverbs 6:20-23 NLT)
